Dickie Fleisher
DICKIE FLEISHER began studying the harp at the age of 10. His first teacher was his grandmother, Nettie Druzinsky, who was the accompanist to Sally Rand. After graduating from the University of Miami, Fleisher joined the Naples Philharmonic [Florida] where he is celebrating his 30th season. Fleisher has also been the principal harpist with the Nagoya Symphony [Japan], the Orchestra of Mineria [Mexico] and The National Symphony of the Dominican Republic.

He is the son of pianist Leon Fleisher, and nephew of Edward Druzinsky, who is the former principal harpist of the Chicago Symphony. His teachers include Edward Druzinsky, Edward Vito, and Lily Laskine; he is grateful to all of them.

His wife, Kayo, is the principal harpist with the Jacksonville Symphony, his older sister, Deborah, is the harp instructor at the University of Miami, FL, and his younger sister, Leah, is a harpist in the Washington DC area.

Outside of music, Fleisher is currently ranked as one of the top table tennis players in the US.
