Editions and Publications for Harp Ensemble by Ron Erickson
My arrangements and transcriptions for harp ensemble are inspired by my work with Love of Harps. Since 2008, the ensemble has included many of these in their annual Festival programs. My editions balance the musical values of each composition and ease of playing for the greatest range of players.

Harpists will get more visibility in American culture by reviving the standard music repertory of the past, especially orchestra music. This music has stood the test of time with the general public and has been - as it will continue to be - newly appreciated in its new clothes. It gives the public further incentive to attend classical music concerts in support of the musicians of their community, and restores the interest of harpists in the music known to the general public before the harp repertory found its own values in a world of its own making. As founder Ralph Thomas predicted in 1994, the ensemble has continued to reach out to the community to welcome amateur harpists and build a following. It continues to offer scholarships to encourage the young in their music studies and their participation in the concerts.

My editions are available to any group that wants to consider them for study or performance, or both. They are intended for use, not for library acquisition. Hence, they are offered with a full or partial rebate of the initial deposit, once the conditions for use are met. The market for substantial classical repertory is too limited for me to enter into a wholly commercial publishing enterprise. My smaller-scale editions and beginner-level ensemble music are for sale, as are most of my  arrangements for the KRAICHY AND ERICKSON harp and violin duo. Inquire about all my catalogs at ronerick, earthlink.net. My non-harp chamber music catalog, Erickson Editions, has been online since my first professional work for G. Schirmer in 1994.
