KRAICHY AND ERICKSON, a harp and violin duo, first worked together in their native Seattle fifty years ago (marriage should last so long). in Southwest Florida since 2000, they have served wherever needed for classical, pop, and ethnic. Their expanding concert repertory features rarely heard classical works by American composers as well as the obligatory favorites.

Barbara trained with renowned harpist Marcel Grandjany at the Manhattan School in New York. Following a year with the Royal Theatre of Copenhagen, she work at the Sheraton Palace in San Francisco and as a floating harpist in Las Vegas. After a tour with the Clebanoff Strings she settled in Winnipeg with her violinist husband, moving to Florida in 1990 where they both played for the Naples Philharmonic. As president of the Southwest Florida Harp Chapter from 2005 to 2011, she has brought internationally- known harpists to the annual Chapter weekend festivals for concerts and workshops.

Ron Erickson graduated from the Juilliard School following study with Ivan Galamian, predecessor to Dorothy Delay. In San Francisco, while playing with the Opera Orchestra and as concertmaster for various regional orchestras, he initiated many chamber music concerts and made three recordings of American chamber music. He is also a specialist in period music performance and modern music. He edits and publishes music for string quartet, for harp and violin, and for harp ensemble (see his catalog page). Ron toured with the orchestra for the Argentine revue Forever Tango, and was a member of the Skywalker Ranch Orchestra which made the first complete recording of the Star Wars music under composer John Williams.
